Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite - Imaginary Pixel with a Notch

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite launched together with Mi A2 as the second iteration of Mi A series in Madrid, Spain. As Mi A2 Lite target is a more budget-friendly audience without sacrificed any shortfall of hardware specification. A2 Lite sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon ... ... *drum-roll* ... ... and yes, its 625 SoC yet again... Along with two variants - 32GB with 3GB RAM and 64GB with 4GB RAM. A large battery of 4000 mha built-in. A tri-slot is available on A2 Lite which means it supports 2 nano sim card and a microSD slot. Out of the box, A2 Lite has ~52GB of unused storage and about ~18% used for it system OS and few applications. Not a single bloatware are found in A2 Lite, beside Xiaomi's own application such as Camera, Mi Drop for file transfer and Mi Remote as both A2 and A2 Lite has IR blaster. A2 Lite has a 5.84" inch 18:9 FHD+ display panel at 1080x2280 with notch and with a pixel density of 432. Both indoor and outdoor viewing visibility is ...

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 - The next AndroidOne competitor...

ASUS recently announced the latest smartphone - ZenFone Max Pro M1 and it strikes a match in the budget smartphone category along with competitors such as Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro and Nokia 6.1 (2018). As the specification are nearly identical. ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 has solid metal built body which does not feel hefty and it's sport a fingerprint sensor located at the back of the phone. The unlocking speed on average speed not as rapid as Xiaomi Mi 8 SE which I've reviewed previously.  M1 also supports 2D facial recognition. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC along with generously sized at 5,000mha with rear dual camera setup. For the storage and RAM catered to Singapore market is the 32GB with 3GB RAM. Minimal lag are excusable due to the 3GB ram built-in; as my usage, I could feel some hiccup whenever switch app to app.  What's make the M1 (let's called it as ' M1 ' as the name is super long!) sp...

Xiaomi Mi A2 - The new Nexus era?

One year later, Xiaomi launched the second iteration of Mi A series in Madrid, Spain and it followed Google's footstep by releasing dual model - Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Just a simple introduction of its counterpart in China as Mi A2 is Mi 6X while Mi A2 Lite is Redmi 6 Pro. Mi A2 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC chipset and comes in three variants - 32GB or 64GB with 4GB RAM and 128GB with 6GB RAM, a user non-removable 3,010 mha battery with supported Quick Charge 3.0 via USB C port, dual rear camera setup which is a huge upgrade over its previous generation. No 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD slot on Mi A2. On my review unit is the 64GB variant and out of the box a whopping 24% was used (~15GB). Like its predecessor, Mi A2 support Google's Android One program which means Xiaomi adapting the stock Android OS with Xiaomi's own camera application loaded inside. The Android OS which Mi A2 is running on Oreo 8.1 out of the box and it does s...
